I haven’t heard Steve Gill talking about this yet. Hope he will be talking about it and encouraging people to come out. Would be great to have a crowd as big or bigger than we had on Apr. 15. How is the word getting out about this event?

If you believe in limited government, individual liberty, and fiscal conservatism, you should tell everyone you know about this upcoming tea party!

Great ! We cant wait. Iam posting signs all over our small rural town.@I hope everyone will do the same.These rural people dont always have access to the internet, so I belive that we need to also use ways that will get the word out to everyone. Our vehicles are another good way to inform people of the date @ place!

JohnL, thanks for asking! We understand there’s a lot of confusion about this.

Tennessee Tea Party is sponsoring the event listed above, on June 29th. The July 2nd event in question, while announced using the name Tennessee Tea Party, is not actually a Tennessee Tea Party event but rather another group using our name to announce their event. We are working to resolve this, but please be assured that the June 29th rally is the next great tea party put on by the same folks that organized the April 15th rally at Legislative Plaza in Nashville!

My great concern is that people are forgetting that the Republican Party is equally responsible for the mess we are in.

The leaders of both political parties represent special interests and continue spending like they are completely insane.

The Republican leaders and Democrat leaders do not represent the best interest of the average citizens; they got in office and stay in office because of their allegiance to special interests whose actions repeatedly show they have no conscience.

This problem is the most bi-partisan thing that’s come out of Washington in a long time!

Just to clear up the confusion about the diferent events on June 29th, July 2nd, & July 4th. Obviously there are numerous groups of concerned citizens all looking for a place to plug in and get active. This is a good thing. We should not be in competition but rather in the fight together. However, I want to make it clear that the event on July 2nd is sponsored by Tea Party Nation who was the organizer of the widley successful event on April 15th. While some of the original group chose to split off and form another group, the core of TPN is still very active and growing and have a great event with nationally known speakers planned for the 2nd. We are moving beyond just a protest and are focused on providing an informative event with numerous voices, groups, and organizations present. My suggestion is to support all efforts of concerned citizens uniting with unity of purpose against the common threat on our freedom. If you can’t attend June 29th then come on July 2nd or 4th. Or better yet attend all 3 events. Let’s just move beyond the childish competition of which group is leading the charge and focus on the real issues!!!!

I am spreading the word to as many as I can find. While my family could not attend the April 15th Nashville rally, we did go to the one in Franklin that evening, and I can tell you it was great to be part of such a wonderful group. Polite and considerate, the protesters left the area with nary a sign that they had been there, other than their footsteps. I look forward to June 29th!

Yes Bill! I noticed that, too! Such a clear difference between the tea parties and the protests of the left. I even had one police officer tell me that they had no problems from the crowd, and that he’d have been there even if he was off duty. He told me this as he pulled open his jacket to reveal a tea bag pinned to the inside!

I attended the Middle Tennessee Liberty Rally and had so much to express that it took 3 signs front and back to convey some of it. I passed flyers out to everyone I could and put some on bulletin boards and emailed people I know to get the word out. 3 people offered to hold signs for me and for that I’m very grateful. The speakers were great and from my view behind the stage, it seemed encouraging to see so many people standing up for their rights. I did notice that significantly less people were there than the April 15th tea party and wondered if most who attended that event didn’t come from feeling like what good does it do? My question to them is what good does it, to not do? A 1500 page unread cap and trade bill was just passed by the house of representatives that will cause ALL of our energy bills to skyrocket and do you think this is not going to affect you? A charismatic president and it’s self serving, power hungry, greedy, tax cheating administration, house of representatives and congress with the exception of a few are bankrupting the future of this country and attacking every fiber of our constitution and do you think you will continue to live life as you always have? We have always been a nation based on Judeo Christian values and recently the United States has given 1700 million to the Palestinians who have voted Hamas to lead them and 86% of the Palestinians polled condone terrorist attacks to Israel. The last thing I ever wanted to do in life was become a political activist, now I’m looking for somebody to teach me how. So I come and I listen and I learn, in a crash course kind of way, how to respond in a productive way, in a way that would advance uniting with other Americans who feel the same urgency to defend the morals, values and dignity that makes our nation great. I stand for life, not taxpayer funded abortions worldwide, not a government health insurance that would decline the care of a person that they deem too old to be worth that care…liberty, not taking away freedom of speech, or our right to believe that insurance is a responsibility, that each person should be accountable for the things in life that he or she is responsible for….it’s empowering to achieve independance….and it is disabling to become dependant. And don’t forget the pursuit of happiness….the American dream… to own a home and have your own business doing what you love. This president and his administration and the Barney Franks and the czars they have appointed threaten the very hope of achieving such dream for generations to come. So I’m learning to open my eyes. I’m learning to see the big picture. I’m finding what it is that I believe in, what I stand for. I can relate to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Ralph Bristol, Steve Gill, Bernadette Ash. I didn’t know the other speakers but I can relate to them, too. I can stand with them when I stand for what I believe in…. These days, if you don’t stand for what you believe in, you’ll fall for anything. I want to thank the organizers and participants of the Tea Party and Liberty Rally and for talk radio because if it weren’t for all these people, I’d still be swimming in the lies. I want you to know that the last election was the 2nd time I’ve ever voted. I’ve always felt that all politicians were liars and what good does it do. Now I know, there are people who don’t lie, the Bob Corkers, the Marsha Blackburns, the Susan Lynns… so thank you for empowering me to stand up for what I believe in and for teaching me how…
